The Sacred Valley tour is a great way to see the most important ruins of the Sacred Valley in one day if you don’t have a lot of time. You can go to these ruins by yourself on separate days using the ‘colectivo’ buses if you have the time and the boleto turistico to enter the ruins. But this tour is very useful to not look for transportation yourself and see everything in one day.

You’ll meet at the Plaza de Armas at 7 am to go to the first location: Pisac. You’ll visit the famous market of handicrafts where you can always go back afterwards to buy your gifts for family and friends. Pisac is only 45 minutes away from Cusco and is located at an altitude of 2,900 meters.

After your visit to Pisac you’ll continue to Urubamba to have your lunch.  The next stop is Ollantaytambo, in this village the train takes off to Machu Picchu, it’s located at an altitude of 2,700 meters. The village itself is like a small version of Cusco with its alleys and Inca stones. The ruins are very close to the village and beautiful to walk around.

Finally, you’ll visit the village of Chinchero, also famous for its handicraft market. You’ll walk around the market and the archeological site and then get back to Cusco at around 7 pm.
